Sewing on the chikara nuno

Locate the juban's back center seam and the chikara nuno's center seam (top left photo). Match them and place the top of the chikara nuno about 1cm above the bottom edge of the collar stiffener (top right photo). Choose a complementary thread and sew on by hand, as shown below:


The top of the chikara nuno will be covered by the han eri. (Note that the top of my chikara nuno consists of a selvedge, which is why it's not hemmed.)
