Your bow looks absolutely wonderful for no mirror. I can’t even get it to look right with help *laugh*

By the way, the koshihimo trick does work ^_^

I have a solution for the front wrinkle :) Use a shibori obiage and wear it furisode-style on top of the obi :) You are young and unmarried, so you are allowed to do that even with non-furisode. Young, unmarried people can also wear their obi tied in furisode musubi’s with tomesode kimonos :)

Someday I want to try the whole “gift wrap” packaging and get the extra oshare himo and the silk flowers and try one of those “work of art” musubis :) :) :)

I’m so eager to buy kimono to wear around the house! (polyester, or anything washable :) ) Maybe even yukata - just to get used to the feeling of wearing them all the time. I’m afraid I would stain my silk ones too, I always manage to stain my usual clothes ^_^;

Yes, I too found the somesho pages so heplful!! My kitsuke-miracle in Turin (i.e.: doing it!) was entirely owed to that site. They have many clever tricks, and very well illustrated. I didn’t know the “clothespin in the back” one, I will try it. Oh, and I’m wearing kimono at home now, it’s definitely more confortable than the expected.. (a polyester kimono, anyway, you never know when cooking or moving around…)
