Fans Synthetic Tsumugi
This kimono is made of a sturdy, nubby weave that resembles silk tsumugi, but is entirely synthetic. I bought it as a kimono to practice kitsuke and wear as a costume. (I worry too much to wear silk kimono as costumes!)
The solid red hakkake (lower lining) is a nice touch
The stencil-dyed fans and arabesques look a bit like batik.
